Observe appearance of rodent in cage and register the sings of any abnormality in animal posture, coat, skin and /or movements. To submit data use along with BCTAnimalCondTyp to specify which type of abnormality, e.g. posture, coat, skin and /or movements is observed. Skin and coat conditions: Normal=No obvious skin or coat problems; Slightly abnormal=Dirty coat, dander or inflammation; Moderately abnormal=Dull Coat, dirty, skin inflammation; Severely abnormal=Skin and coat very dull, dirty, or inflamed; Extremely abnormal=Extreme signs of coat and skin deterioration. Posture: Normal =Sitting, standing or rearing normally; Slightly abnormal= Slight flatness or hunch; Moderately abnormal=Possibly dragging belly or hunched; Severely abnormal=mostly flat with little elevation off surface; extremely abnormal=Flat to surface and unable to elevate off floor or cage. Movements: Normal=Able to move normally; Slightly abnormal=May have some ataxia or splay causing slight problems with movement; Moderately abnormal=Obvious mobility problems; Severely abnormal=Definite problems with being able to move easily within the cage; extremely abnormal=Unable to move at all or without extreme hardship
